NTHU has recently updated B+M Program with University of California, Berkeley, USA. For more details on our partner universities, please refer to the List of Sister Universities and Dual Degree Program.
- Qualification: Only for the undergraduates from PME, ESS, MSE in NTHU only. [2021: fields of BioE and EE] [2023: College of Science] [2023: Department of Chemical Engineering and Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management]
- Schedule:
- January Applications due to GLOBE: January
- Interview Period: January - February
- Acceptance Confirmation Period: February - March
- University Extension Application Period: March
- Visa Application (Students direct work with US AIT) Period: March - May
- Iterative Course Selection Period: June - August
- Student Arrival at UC Berkeley: by August
- Training: Undergraduates will take a total of twenty-seven (27) units over the year. Please contact DRC to get more details.
- Credit Transfer: The PhD student shall follow the regulations of both institutions regarding the suggested courses to be taken and credit transfer.
- Fees: Please contact DRC to get more details.
- Diploma: Bachelor Degree in NTHU, UC B Program Certificate, MA/PhD Degree in UC B.
- Duration of Studies: Undergraduates study in NTHU for 3 years. Undergraduates exchange to UC B for 1 year. Undergraduates apply for admission then study in UC B for another period.
- Thesis: Depends on the program and advisors.

(1). Candidates have to understand you to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its international, national, local and institutional legal, regulatory, policy.
(2). During their fourth year at UC B in the Fall semesters, the 3+1+X undergraduates will have the opportunity to apply to a graduate degree program of one or more years at UC B, through UC B’s regular admissions process.
(3). Maximum of the application: 20 students
(4). Requirements for English language skills: 577 paper-based TOEFL, 90 iBT, or 7 IELTS.
