【Important Announcement】 Prohibition on Bringing Meat Products to Taiwan
Dear Fellow Compatriots,
To protect Taiwan from the threat of African Swine Fever (ASF), the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) strongly reminds all travelers and community members:
- It is strictly prohibited to bring meat or meat-related products into Taiwan from overseas. This includes processed, raw, or cooked meat.
- Any violation of this regulation may result in severe penalties, including heavy fines.
African Swine Fever is a highly contagious disease that poses a significant threat to the livestock industry and public health. Strict biosecurity measures are essential to ensure the safety of Taiwan's agriculture.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to contact the local Taiwanese office or the OCAC.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in keeping Taiwan safe and free from ASF.
