Scholarship
-
The awarded student shall receive a stipend of NT$25,000 per month (approximately USD890, subject to exchange rate). The stipend should be used to cover the entire cost of tuition for the Chinese language courses offered by NTHU, as well as dormitory room, local health insurance, and miscellaneous fees (e.g., internet fee or the administration fee charged by Office of Global Affairs). Recipients are responsible for their own expenses or confirm with the Home University for the additional funding.
-
The amount of scholarship received depends on the length of the period: one semester (4-month term), 2 semesters (8-month term), or summer period (3-month term).
-
The awarded student must open a savings account at a local post office in Taiwan, and after the recipient completes the registration procedure, the stipend will be, in principle, remitted to that account on a monthly basis. The exact date of remittance depends on the Accounting Office and the Cashier Division.
