►The Office of Global Affairs (OGA) is pleased to announce that the National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) - University of Toronto (U of T) Joint Call for Research Proposals open from Nov. 3, 2026 to Jan. 6, 2027

We invite faculty members to submit proposals for collaborative research projects that strengthen the partnership between our two institutions.
1. The fund is open to proposals in, but not limited to, the following areas:
• Materials Science
• Urban Innovation
• Sustainability
• Cultural Heritage, Community, and Social Justice

2. Funding & Awards
• Selected Projects: Up to five (5) successful joint proposals will be chosen.
• Funding Amount: Each selected project will receive up to NTD $300,000 from NTHU, and up to CAD $15,000 from U of T.

3. Project Timeline
• Funding Period (NTHU): March 1, 2027 – November 30, 2027
• Funding Period (U of T): March 1, 2027 – February 29, 2028
• Announcement of Results: End of February 2027

4. Application Details
• Deadline: January 6, 2027 (23:59 TST / 10:59 a.m. EST)
• Submission Method: A single application in English must be submitted via the OVPI Application Portal 
• Requirements: The application form will request you to enter or upload specific required elements regarding the project scope, budget, and collaboration details.
