Join us for the Spring 2027 English Language Teaching Assistant (ELTA) Program Info Session @ NTHU and learn how you can support English learning in Taiwanese public elementary and junior high schools while gaining valuable teaching, communication, and intercultural experience.

The ELTA Program welcomes international students who are interested in contributing to education in Taiwan. No Chinese skills or prior teaching experience are required.

Format: In-person

During the session, we will introduce the ELTA Program, explain the application and selection process, share what ELTAs do in schools, and answer your questions about training, matching, working hours, salary, and transportation subsidies.

As an ELTA, you may assist local teachers with thematic lessons, support English conversation activities, help design engaging learning activities, participate in English camps and clubs, and work with students in public elementary and junior high schools.

Program Highlights: NTD 400 per session (40–45 minutes), public transportation subsidies, pre-employment training and professional development, and opportunities to gain meaningful teaching and intercultural experience in Taiwan.

Spring 2027 ELTA applications will be open from September 21 to October 18, 2026 (23:59), and placements are expected to begin in February 2027. A total of 48 positions are available in the Northern Region, and applications may close earlier once all positions are filled.
