【Activity】Rice Dumpling Giveaway on Friday, June 7, 11-2pm at R112

As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, we are excited to share a beloved Chinese tradition with you. To celebrate this special occasion, we will be sending out zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) to our international students.

What is Zongzi?
Zongzi are traditional Chinese sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. They come in various flavors, often filled with delicious ingredients like pork, egg yolk, or sweet red beans. These delightful treats are a symbol of the festival and a way to share our cultural heritage with you.

Why Do We Celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival?
The Dragon Boat Festival, celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, commemorates the ancient Chinese poet Qu Yuan. It's a time for racing dragon boats, hanging calamus and moxa, and enjoying zongzi with friends and family.
