(2024) 13^th CALL FOR PhD PROJECT PROPOSALS

• Proposals for dual PhD projects are invited for submission to the dual PhD programme between National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan and the University of Liverpool in the UK. It is anticipated that decisions will be made in March after the Program Management Team has reviewed the proposals. Students can be recruited for September 2024 and one proposal is limited to one doctoral student.
• Proposal

1. Short (about 2 pages) proposals are expected. Please refer to 2024 NTHU-UoL Dual PhD Proposal Template.
2. Proposals must contain the following information:

1. Supervisors’ affiliation & contact details (one supervisor from each institution is required);
2. Project title, aim & objectives;
3. Outline of background and proposed research methodology;
4. Proposed programme of study at NTHU (at least 4 semesters) and UoL (at least 12 months);
5. Courses/modules to be taken at NTHU (exemption available from 2/3 of usual requirement);
6. Complementarity of expertise and, or facilities at NTHU & UoL.

1. The NTHU student must pass the department qualification examination before being exempted from paying the school’s miscellaneous credit fees.
2. Courses/modules to be taken at NTHU (exemption available from 2/3 of usual requirement) are only applied to incoming UoL students.
