【Anti-Fraud Awareness】[Overseas Community Affairs Council] Anti-Fraud EDM

The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) has recently received reports from schools indicating that fraud groups are targeting overseas students with limited Chinese proficiency, enticing them to provide bank accounts as tools for money laundering. To prevent overseas students from becoming involved in fraud cases and to reinforce the legal awareness of students already studying in Taiwan and newly arrived overseas students, the OCAC is continuing its efforts to promote awareness to help them avoid falling victim to scams or unknowingly violating the law.

The OCAC has prepared anti-fraud EDMs in five languages: Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Burmese, and English (see attachment) to remind overseas students to stay vigilant and verify information promptly to avoid being deceived.
