The recipient should undertake at least 15 hours of Chinese language courses offered by NTHU each week. This does not include cultural visits, speeches, and other self-learning curriculum or activities. The fees of courses should be paid by the recipient(tuition fees should be paid before scholarships are distribute).

The recipient should participate in the Youth English Cultivation activities and related training to facilitate English courses, English club or English camp in local public schools, with 3 hours per week on average during the scholarship-awarded period.

The recipient must take TOCFL(Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language).

The recipient must submit a brief report of academic life at NTHU before returning to their home country.
