The International Graduate Program (IGP) is designed for outstanding students who aspire to pursue advanced studies in life sciences at the Graduate School of Life Science, Hokkaido University. This program has been selected under a special quota of the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship.

<MEXT Scholarship (IGP Special Quota)>
A total of five doctoral candidates and three master's students will be awarded full financial support.

Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to contact potential academic supervisors at an early stage in order to discuss their research interests and suitability for the program.
Following the supervisor's agreement to host the applicant, all required application documents must be submitted to the supervisor, who will then forward them to the IGP Administration Office by the deadline of December 10, 2026.

As an initial step, applicants are advised to identify a laboratory that aligns with their academic and research objectives and to make direct contact with the respective faculty member.
