【Tohoku University, Japan】Call for Applications – Engineering Short Program (TESP) 2026

Tohoku University, Japan, has announced an additional call for applications for the Tohoku University Engineering Short Program (TESP) 2026, following the release of a limited number of places.

Interested students are welcome to apply!

1. Programme Information

• Programme Dates: 3–18 December 2026

• Application Deadline: 29 October 2026 (JST)

• NTHU Internal Application Deadline: 26 October 2026 (Monday), 11:59 PM (Taiwan Time)

• Programme Fee: JPY 110,000

• Selection: Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis following an initial screening, subject to availability.

2. Available Courses

1. Chemical Engineering Course

2. Disaster Risk Education – Disaster Science Course

3. Tsunami Engineering – Disaster Science Course

The programme combines entrepreneurship lectures with hands-on laboratory activities. Students from non-engineering disciplines are also welcome to apply for the Disaster Risk Education Course.

3. Application Procedure

Interested students should refer to the official website and follow the online application instructions. Online nomination by the home university is required. NTHU students wishing to apply should contact the Office of Global Affairs in advance to arrange the required nomination.
