若秋季班名額為 2 者，春季班名額為 2 者，代表的是全學年可交換名額共2名，

不論是選擇秋季一學期或是春季一學期，皆會使用到該校1個交換名額。

秋季班名額為 0 者，代表本次不開放秋季班交換申請。春季班名額為 0 者，代表本次不開放春季班交換申請。

For the 2025 fall/2026 spring exchange quota, please refer to the following list.

The contract quota is not equal to the exchange quota for the current year. Please refer to the fall and spring semester quotas (updated around mid-August each year) for the current exchange quota.

Some sister schools may still adjust the exchange quota in late August, so students must confirm the exchange quota on the website when selecting preferences in the second stage.

If the fall semester quota is 2 and the spring semester quota is 2, it means a total of 2 exchange quotas for the full academic year.

Whether choosing one semester in the fall or spring, it will utilize 1 exchange quota at that school. If the fall semester quota is 0, it means no exchange applications are open for the fall semester this time.

If the spring semester quota is 0, it means no exchange applications are open for the spring semester this time.

The Graduate School of Science and Technology, Keio University, has consisted of three schools: (1) School of Fundamental Science and Technology, (2) School of Integrated Design Engineering (3) School of Science for Open and Environmental Systems.

Exchange students need to choose one of the following programs. (1) Research based Program: Students will perform a research project at preferred laboratory supervised by a faculty member. (2) Research and Courses Program: In addition to performing a research project, students can take some relevant courses. (3) Courses focused Program: Students will take some lecture courses. (7 courses per week at minimum)

For ‘Courses focused Program’ students, it is required to take 7 courses at minimum to meet the visa requirements. General Courses of Graduate School of Science and Technology and some other courses are not available for exchange students.

Language requirements (TOEFL score, IELTS, etc): No language proficiency test is required, but students should be proficient enough to follow courses and research projects (姐妹校雖無要求語言檢定能力證明，但仍需符合本校校級交換申請之語言檢定門檻)

2. 該校文學部課程多為終年課程，並於4月份開課，無法於10月中途開始修課。欲申請該校文學部交換生應自行查詢可修課程是否滿足交換生修課規定。

Ask about this opportunity in the application if interested!

For Master Students:

Students who want to apply for courses offered on master level (courses from course catalogue for exchange students or Master's programme courses) at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, benefit from spending an autumn semester at LiU, or stay for a full academic year (autumn+spring), in order to benefit from the progression of courses.

Master level, i.e. advanced level, courses available in the course catalogue for exchange students generally require a completed bachelor's degree and/or three years university studies within the subject area.

Master's programme courses taught in English (Courses offered within master's programmes, might be available for exchange students fulfilling the entrance requirements of the master's programmes as well as the prerequisites listed in the syllabus for each course. Note, however, that some of the master programme courses are offered exclusively for Swedish programme students and are NOT open for exchange students, as noted in the course syllabus.

At the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Linköping University, “add and drop” periods do not exist. In the online application, nominated exchange student should select courses for both study periods of the (first) exchange semester. Already at this stage it is important to verify that the prerequisites of each selected course are met, and, that the credits will be possible to transfer to the home university. The selection of courses is checked by our faculty experts regarding both prerequisites and scheduling and must be all cleared before the student will be admitted. Please note that only in special cases will changing courses after arrival be approved. Exchange students accepted for a whole academic year will select courses for their second semester while being at LiU; in October.

Non-EU students must apply for and be admitted to at least 30 ECTS credits per semester as this is a requirement from the Swedish Migration Agency in order to be granted a residence permit (https://www.migrationsverket.se/English/Private-individuals/Studying-in-Sweden.html).

Language requirement:

For students taking courses in German: German B2

For students taking courses in English: English B2

*The large majority of courses in the bachelor programs is German, with gradual differences among the departments. In the master programs about one third is in English. Advanced bachelor students can take master courses.

Residence permit (for those students who can enter Germany without a visa for up to 90 days): This is not new, just a reminder😊 Students need a proof that they have sufficient financial means for their stay in Germany, at least 934 Euro per month of their intended stay, either by an official scholarship or a blocked account at a German bank or a combination of both. The money needs to be ready to be transferred to the blocked account in September (winter semester) or March (summer semester). We recommend students to open the blocked account with an online provided (details in the factsheet) well before coming to Darmstadt.
