2027-28哈佛燕京學社訪問學人獎助計畫開放申請HYI Visiting Scholars Program

計畫介紹

哈佛燕京學社每年自其選定合作之亞洲學術機構中遴選至多20位學人，秉承哈佛燕京學堂的宗旨，學者須從事人文社科領域的研究，其研究方向應著重於學術而非應用。

本校名額

至多推薦3名。申請人數多於3名時，將由全球事務處視申請件召開會議核定推薦名單，其他相關申請條件請參考哈佛燕京學社所訂。

重要時程

1. 哈佛燕京學社辦理之線上計畫說明會: 5月20日、8月13日。

2. 校內申請截止日：2026年8月21日(五)17:00，申請者須透過所屬學院提名申請; 將應備文件整合為1個PDF電子檔，寄至全球學術合作組信箱(gac@my.nthu.edu.tw)。

3. 校內審核結果公告：2026年9月04日前。

4. 獲推薦者線上申請：2026年9月15日前。獲推薦者逕至哈佛燕京學社系統（HYI online application system）完成資料填寫，方完成所有申請程序。

5. 遴選結果通知：2027年2月底前由學社通知。本校人員倘獲獎，請依人事室相關規定申請出國。

Harvard-Yenching Institute Visiting Scholars program

 This program offers faculty members in the humanities and social sciences (not limited to China Studies or East Asian Studies) the opportunity to undertake 11 months (from August 1, 2027 to June 30, 2028) of study and research at Harvard University and/or other appropriate universities. Seeking outstanding scholars whose work is academic rather than applied.

NTHU Quota

A maximum of three candidates may be recommended by NTHU. If more than three applications are received, the Office of Global Affairs will convene an internal review meeting to determine the final nomination list. Please refer to the Harvard-Yenching Institute's guidelines for additional application requirements.

Important Dates

  1. Harvard-Yenching Institute Online Information Sessions: May 20 and August 13, 2026

  2. University Application Deadline: August 21, 2026 (Friday), 17:00
    Applicants must submit their applications through their respective colleges. All required documents should be compiled into a single PDF file and sent to the Division of Global Academic Collaboration at gac@my.nthu.edu.tw.

  3. Announcement of University Review Results: By September 4, 2026

  4. Online Application by Nominated Candidates: By September 15, 2026
    Nominated candidates must complete the application through the Harvard-Yenching Institute online system.

  5. Final Selection Results: Results will be announced by the Harvard-Yenching Institute by the end of February 2027.
    If a faculty member is selected, please proceed with overseas travel applications in accordance with the Personnel Office's regulations.
