【Announcement】MOL Issues "Regulations on Foreign Skilled Worker Qualifications" and Expands Job Categories

Legal Basis: Article 46, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 11 of the Employment Service Act.

To optimize the use of foreign talent and retain skilled professionals, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) has finalized the "Regulations on the Selection, Management, and Permission of Foreign Skilled Workers." This regulation governs the employment of Foreign Skilled Workers (formerly known as Middle-level Technical Manpower).

I. New Job Categories

In addition to existing technical roles, the following categories have been newly added:

  • Diversified Companion Care Technical Work
  • Port and Wharf Cargo Handling and Distribution Technical Work

II. Qualification and Compensation Overview

Employers hiring for these roles must adhere to the following standards (please refer to the attachments for full details):
