【Event Notice】Light a Match Meet a Family (LMMF) Host Family

ProgramNTHU Faculty & Staff Recruitment (AY 2025/2026)

National Tsing Hua University warmly invites our faculty and staff families to join the Light a Match Meet a Family ─ LMMF Host Family Program !
This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Education, provides international students with the warmth of a home in Taiwan while fostering cultural exchange and mutual learning between families and students.


👨👩👧👦 Eligibility

  • Current NTHU faculty and staff with a valid service ID.
  • Contract staff must be employed until at least July 31, 2026.
  • If two or more NTHU members live in the same household, only one person needs to apply on behalf of the family.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to host students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Open-mindedness and respect for different customs and traditions.
  • Basic English or other foreign language skills are preferred but not required.

🎓 Students to Be Hosted

  • Participants: NTHU international undergraduate students (sophomore and above), master’s, and doctoral students from over 60 countries.
  • Matching: Families will be matched with 1–2 students by the Office of Global Affairs (OGA).

  • Platform Resources: Eligible families may join national host family activities organized by the Ministry of Education.

  • Information Session: An online info session will be held on September 26, 2025 (Fri) at 12:30 PM.
